I will get caught up…i will!!!! (This is from December 4-January 4)
Weight: 24lbs
Height: 30in.
This has been a very eventful month for you!! We made lots of trips, had Christmas, and confirmed your eligibility for implants!!!
You are wearing a mix of sizes in clothes. You have some 9 month outfits that still fit (mostly the pants), but are wearing mostly 9-12mo or just 12mo clothes at this point. You are still in a size 4 diaper as well.
You still eat like a champ (obviously!). You love to feed yourself, so we've been doing a lot more finger foods. You LOVE lunch meat. And grapes. And Teddy Grahams (i love them too, so i probably eat more of them!) You love yogurt too. You won't eat any other baby foods unless you have yogurt to go with it…it's weird, but whatever works little guy!
On December 7th you started crawling!!!!! We are so lucky you decided to do it on a Saturday…and when mom and and dad were both home!! I even caught it on camera. So thanks for that :) I was so sure you'd do it while at daycare!
We traveled up to Denver at the beginning of the month for some testing. You had to be sedated, so it was a little nerve racking for your parents. Ok, well i was a mess, your dad held it together a little better! But you were a perfect little angel and did great! The tests all went well, and confirmed that you'd be a perfect candidate for cochlear implants!! This was SUCH GREAT NEWS!! We've been praying for this for so long!!
Mom and dad went to Las Vegas for a few days in December….and you spent the long weekend with your Grandma and Grandpa McGuire! From what we saw and heard, you pretty much were spoiled like crazy all weekend! I think they really enjoyed having you…guess that means we'll have to send you back :)
You experienced your first snow!! You were fine with it until we put you down in it….then you weren't so sure. As long as dad was close by you were happy…well until he shoved snow in your face. Then you were mad. You didn't last too long, but i got some cute pics and that's all i really wanted!
You were so so sooooo spoiled this Christmas. I mean seriously….it was ridiculous. We went overboard for sure…as did Santa. But your worth it :) You weren't really all that interested in opening presents. You just wanted to play with the toys, and we'd have to take them away to get you to pay attention to the next toy! I think next year you'll be a little more into it.
Christmas was actually pretty low key. You slept in till 8:30 (this was a Christmas miracle!). We then got up, had pancakes, and checked out the loot from Santa! I had to go to work for a while after that so you just hung out with Dad. After I was back home we went over to Gramme and Papa's to see your Aunt Sadie and do Christmas with them!
Aunt Breezy and Uncle Ben were in Seattle this year, so Christmas was a little strange! Next year they'll be home though!
You love anything you can hold on to and walk behind!! I don't think it'll be too long before you are walking on your own!
You loved your wagon…we went for a few rides up and down the hall. You squealed the whole time! It was pretty adorable!
I mustache you a question…..
You continue to amaze us daily…. You are so easy going and have such a laid back personality! We lucked out for sure.
These next couple of months are going to fly by….and then you'll be one. What the what?!?!?!?!? Time really does fly.
We love you buddy…to the moon and back :)
