Current Obsessions!!!

Sooooooo i really have nothing new to report, or fun to talk about....so i figured i'd let ya'll in on what my current obsessions are!! (Not really in any particular order!!)

1. FroYo..... this isn't a new one....but it's a good one!!! I heart me some frozen yogurt!!

2. Body Pump..... If you've never gone to this class....Go. Get up right now and go!! We used to go at least twice a week, but with my new job i don't get to go as much....sad sad day.

3. Pretend house hunting. This obsession just started.... like yesterday. First things first though, we must get pre-approved!!
4. Cowboy salsa..... if you haven't had it. Make it... it's AMAZING!!! I can eat it with a spoon!

5. Pumpkin. It's that time of year!! Got my pumpkin spice candle goin....pumpkin cookies.... ohhh speaking of, YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE!!! You only need these two things....

Mix these two...bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes and VOILA!!!! You have these beauties!!

I'd recommend cream cheese frosting or maybe even just whip cream! YUM-O!!!

Lately....

I've been quite the blog slacker lately.....sorry! So i'll do my best to update on the happenings out here in Denver.

As you all are aware I started my new job!!! So far so good!! Still a little frustrated with the whole move thing, but it hasn't been as slow as i was worried it would be. Now i'm just trying to adjust to my new schedule!! I work Monday, Wed., and Thursdays from 930-7pm,

Tuesdays 8-430 and Fridays (BEST PART!!!) 9-2!!! I don't really mind the late nights as long as i get my butt up early and hit the gym before hand!! Everyone I work with is super friendly...we even have Muffin Mondays!!!

Trav's still working his part time job at Colorado Ski and Golf. He works two to three times a week....which he seems to handle well!! And if you ask me it's worth it!!! We BOTH get free ski passes! That saves us nearly $1,000!!! HOLLA!!! Speaking of skiing...... we're READY!!! Trav seems to think we'll get our first snow at the end of this month......we shall see!

We have a fun weekend coming up this weekend!! Trav's parents will be visiting and so will my friend Jenna!!! The inlaws are here to watch our little cousin cheer at her high school football game then they're off to Cuchara to see some leaves turning!! (sounds strange but it really is beautiful!!) Jen is just coming out to hang!!! I have no idea what i'm going to do to entertain her, but i'm sure we'll figure something out!!!

We haven't traveled anywhere lately....just kind of being homebodies! We have some fun trips planned though!!

October 22nd i'm headed back to good ol DC for my aunts wedding!!! I'm super excited to go back home, i haven't been since CHRISTMAS!!!! So jess...sarah......prepare yourselves (and your houses, since i've yet to see them!! ) :)

Oct. 29th we'll be headed back to our old stomping ground for some KSTATE football!! I.CAN.NOT.WAIT!!! I really really really really really really miss that place. I plan on hitting up some of my favorite places while there.... so long, pita pit, varney's, and probably pita pit again :) The whole McGuire clan will be there...along with a truck load of our old friends! It promises to be quite the eventful weekend!!

Ohhhhhh and Nov. 18th a few of my favorite peeps will be arriving at DIA to spend a weekend cheering on the Cats with me as they BEAT CU!!! Sounds like we're going to have several visitors that weekend.... i'm mentally preparing now for my house to look like ATO on a Sunday morning after all this!

After that I'll be taking a trip to the Windy City in December (yes i realize this may be the dumbest move ever....but i'm just along for the ride!!!). My dear friend J-Mo (Jenna) is getting married in Mexico so we're doing her bach. party before in Chicago!! I'm super pumped and possibly already anticipating frost bite.

Well that's about all thats coming up in our future.....i'm sure it'll change at least a billion times....but it keeps me on my toes!!

PhD???

Today we asked a little girl what her life goals were (keep in mind she's 5). Her reply....

"Well I'd like to grow up to be either a fairy or a princess......but probably a fairy, cause you need a PhD to be a Princess..."

Who knew!!!

That's all it takes???

Apparently all i have to do to fix something/get my way.....is send it out into the blogospher (i have no idea how to spell that made up word!). I'm no longer thinking about cutting out my woman parts..... this will probably last ohhhh about three weeks and then some one will have to take the scalpel from me.

i know i promised something fun.....but i'm lame.

new job = no fun

well ok maybe i lie..... i've still had fun....but i've been sooooo stinking preoccupied with work (read...orientation...STILL) and plus they just scare you at new jobs with the whole BIG BROTHER crap.... ugh.

So the new job. Starting out...LOVED it! was busy, there wasn't much down time.... all the things i wanted...THEN, the uppers had different plans and moved me to another location (i've learned in the previous week or so that this has nothing to do with me, rather the other person...apparently i'm sooooo amazing at my job they don't think i need all that much supervision....which means i go to the location with less people....read....LESS THINGS TO DO!) I'm frustrated...they actually told me to bring a book to work....REALLY!!!!! i'm hoping i'm just assuming too much and there will be things for me to do, and if not, i'm not afraid to ask....beg.... cry....throw fits...until someone gives me work (is that sad...?) I just keep reminding myself.... ok abby, you were super bored at your last job and made less money with waaaaaay less benefits....it's ok....you'll survive. But frustrated i remain. This may be the rum talking....but i think i'm ready to feel needed....to feel like i'm actually doing something....making my mark. Weird. So we shall see how this all goes....

On a whole different note....i hate my body (not physically, so don't freak out sarah)....i'm considering having everthing removed.... do they do that???? I'll spare you the details....but just know this matter frustrates the bejesus out of me.

I'll work on pictures....i'm not dumb...i know everyone likes those kinds of posts better :)

My bad....

I've been a bad blogger as of late..... but i have good reason i promise!! With my new job my schedule has changed and it's sort of thrown me for a loop....plus at first i was scared to get on the internet :) Don't worry, i'm back to my old ways.....

I promise to have something fun and exciting soon.....
