Miscellaneous Monday.

**You better believe I had to look that word up...no way i know how to spell that off the top of my head!**

Alrighty....let's talk about random "miscellaneous" things running thru my head (there's some room for that to happen up there, don't judge!).  Ready....set.....go.

1.   Shopping for our first home....NOT near as fun as I imagined it to be.  We made an offer Friday, they counter offered Saturday and we decided to leave it at that (original offer was the highest we could go!).  Sooooo i cried...got over it....and looked at more houses.  So fast forward to this morning....i get an email that says they would reconsider our same offer if we resubmitted.....ugh.  So now we go back to the drawing board.  Do we want a newer home that won't need any updating for many years but is at the very top of our price range.  Or do we want an older home, low end of price range, that needs updating (we're talking paint EVERYTHING inside, pull carpet downstairs, tile kitchen/laundry and buy all new appliances).  Decisions Decisions.

2.  I miss sushi like it's my job.  Good news is i get to eat it THIS SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Why in the world does running always make my nose run??? It never fails....never.  And actually, come to think of it, my nose runs almost every time i do ANY sort of cardio.  What is up with that?

4.  I sure do love my husband.  Poor guy is on his 8th straight day of working....and he has 4 more to go before he gets the weekend off.  I know he's tired...and smelly....but he's still just perfect! I really do appreciate all that he does, I'm a lucky girl.

And BOOM goes the dynamite.

I have no idea why i titled this post that..... maybe cause it makes me giggle everytime.... or because i'm weird, either way.

Moving on....

We're really doing it....we're really going to make an offer on a house today.  SCARY!!!!  It's been a bit of a roller coaster.... like i was told we had to be in our job for 6 months and therefor would have to live in the basement of the parentals for that long kind of roller coaster.  But it's ok...i pulled some strings :)  Pre-Approval letter sent...appointment with realator after work...BOOM.

I'm super duper excited, nervous, anxious, hungry....wait, what?

Children of the Corn People...or as I call them...the CCP.

My first day of work was last Monday.  I came into it having NO clue what to expect.  Pretty much all I knew was it was an HR Assistant job in Montezuma for a small family owned company.  And to be completely honest that's still about all I know!! My boss had to leave on short notice last week so I was sort of in limbo the end of the week.  I'm hoping this week will be better and i'll have a little more direction.  My only complaint so far is the drive.  Montezuma is about 33.5 miles from my parents.... and i'm literally driving on a lonely 2 lane highway surrounded by fields.  So that's a lot of miles on the ol car....and my car doesn't exactly do well on gas either.  Last week I averaged 18 miles per gallon.  No good...no good at all. (the bonus is i'm reimbursed for my milage, but still....18??? Yuck!).  So anywho.... being that far from DC i obviously can't go home, or join travis at Kate's for lunch.  So i pack my lunch...which is nothing new.  I used to pack my lunch and eat it after I got back from the gym...in our big ol kitchen at ADMHN.  Um....Montezuma has no 24 hour fitness....Montezuma has one gas station, a drug store, and a cafe.  And trust me I stick out like a sore thumb if I venture into town for lunch.  Everyone looks identical in that place.  Like creepy identical.  I think i'll just take my lunch and eat it some where where no one can give me the evil eye.... like my car.  I've been going on run/walks over lunch for about 45 minutes then eating real quick in my car or inside if no one is here.  But this week the weather isn't as nice....i have no clue what i'll do.  Nap maybe? Or maybe just take a 15 minute break to eat and work the rest...adding the unused 45 minutes up for an early Friday??? (I'm too scared to ask this yet....give me time!)  I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before i have a routine....i just don't like the limbo part!

As far as trav....i think i should make him to a post himself to tell you about his new gig.  All i know, is that boy sure does smell when he gets home!!

This weekend we enjoyed the whole house to ourselves! My parents were up in Lawrence starting Saturday and won't be back till tomorrow (KU games!).  We didn't really do a whole lot of anything.  Drank a little too much wine Friday at Jessi's...Watched KState football Saturday then went on a bike ride looking at houses....fell asleep on the couch watching NCIS at 11, and slept in till 12 yesterday! It was amazing!  We eventually got up and around...went to the gym, FINALLY got trav's hair cut, looked at pickups.....and made lasagna.  A pretty uneventful but successfull weekend!!!  Nothing big planned for this week...just work.  Maybe start some negotiations on a house....maybe, we'll see.  I'll keep you posted!

Why I haven't blogged....

I'm going to now tell you all my lame excuses as to why I have not blogged in over a week.

1. Moving is super tiring...


2. Finding places for all your shit, when your mother already has an obscene amount of shit, tiring.


3. Traveling to KC for a bestie's wedding reception....WAY more important than blogging, but tiring.


4. Acting like i'm 21 all over again and drinking my body weight in rum....embarrassing, and REALLY tiring.


5. Starting a new job, where i have to drive 68 miles roundtrip, stressful, and tiring.


6. Having no set routine or schedule yet.... annoying, and somehow tiring.


7. Staying up late to watch KSU beat KU...AMAZING, and tiring.


8. Waking up at 545 to go to the gym, because i'm trying to figure out a damn schedule...tiring.



So basically.....I'M TIRED people. Like, should probably go to bed at 6pm tired.... i think at this point i'm delerious...maybe even a little slap happy. I do NOT like when my schedule/routine is messed with, and it takes me forever to get back into one. I look forward to that day....but until then....i'll just be going a little more crazy every day.





**I promise to have a post about our first week of new jobs...including children of the corn, white devils, and cow tails. I also promise a post about the reception in KC last weekend....only to include what i remember, so not much.

I've only been up for about 2 hours...and already today has been pretty stinking great!!!! T.M.I. warning, but this is my blog and I can do what i want.....

REASONS TODAY IS AN AWESOME DAY:

1. I got my PERIOD!!!! HURRAY!

Your probably confused....thought we were trying to get preggo no? Well we are....however that's impossible to do when you don't have a period for 7 months. Comprende? So join me in my excitment!!!!

(Fist Pump if you must!!)

2. This girl got a J.O. mother f'n B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm super excited about this one!! Two incomes is way better than one if you didn't know!! Plus if i didn't have a job i'd sit on my growing by the minute ass and eat cheese puffs.

But no need to worry about that now (the eating cheetos all day thing, my ass...it's a whole different story!)....cause i have a JOB!!!!!!!! I'll be working for a small family owned business in Montezuma. (about 20 minutes South of DC...so i must invest in a radar detector!). And the bonus....it comes with GREAT pay!!! I'll be getting a base salary...which is about 4 G's more then i make currently, PLUS i'll get gas reimbursment...which would add another 8 G's on...... ohhhhhhhhhhhh dream home here i come!!!

3. it's Taco Tuesday...on a Thursday!!!

Since today is my last full day here at ADMHN my peeps here decided to have a little party for me!! Currently there is shredded beef and chicken cooking away in crock pots back in the kitchen.... and it smells GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

I heart taco's....and thursdays that are trying to pretend to be tuesdays :)

4. Momma Doll is on here way out here!!!

As I type this...my super wonderful amazing beautiful mother is hauling the trailor out here to help us move. She's such a trooper!!! (and a nazi, so if you talk to me tomorrow, or saturday and i'm grumpy it's because she has kept me up all hours packing and cleaning!)

Now if that's just not a kick ass Thursday I don't know what is!!!
